Love & Less in 2013

December 31, 2012 — 2 Comments

After two weeks of being in bed without much change, I had a full blood workup to find some very funky liver results. These prompted a little further investigation from my Doctor and finally confirmation of glandular fever.

So me and my bed have been getting seriously well acquainted this festive season! It’s been a challenge for me, I normally organise, shop and wrap majority of our presents, pack for our family time away with grandparents and everything else associated. This year hubby did it all! Letting go, perhaps a lesson I could only learn in my sickened state! A good lesson to learn none-the-less.

So as we head towards 2013 and have a quiet New Years Eve with some take out and our little family of three I’ve been thinking about New Years resolutions. I’ve never really made them, and when I have they’ve been forgotten by half way through January! This year I’m taking on the idea of a word for the new year… Though in my case it is two. Love & less. I want 2013 to be more about love and less about stuff! It’s the best legacy I believe we can leave for our kids. And I truly believe it’ll make us happier as a family & as individuals.

May you all have a blessed 2013!

  1. Wonderful concept of having a word instead of a resolution and great choice of words.
